Software Engineer and
Game Dev

Hi, I’m Austin! An ambitious, self-motivated software engineer specializing in full stack applications and game development!

I thrive on the bridge between code and creativity, collaborating efficiently to take ideas from conceptualization and prototyping, to iteration and final polishing. I live for the process!

My current reel

I’m a 4.0 GPA post-baccalaureate computer science student at Oregon State University, serving my second term as a Teaching Assistant for CS261 – Data Structures. Beforehand I was a Lead Teaching Assistant for CS162 – Intro to Computer Programming II for 3 terms.

Set to graduate in June of 2023, I’m currently searching for a summer 2023 internship, or a full time junior-level position, where I can lend my creativity and passion to an existing project, soaking up as much knowledge and industry experience as possible.

From personal projects and research, to video essays, game jam submissions and more, I break down my thought process, achievements, failures, and what I’ve learned along the way.

I touch on my soft and hard skills, then showcase sections of code from my projects that I find particularly fascinating.

An ongoing record of my journey as a programmer and game developer.

Allow me to introduce myself!

What I’m Currently Working On:

This Spring at OSU is my last term and I am taking CS344 – Operating Systems, and CS467 which is my capstone course! One requirement of my capstone project is posting weekly blogs reflecting on my progress throughout the term. My most recent post is linked below, check it out!

As far as personal projects go, in order to practice my full stack development skills I’m currently building a video game catalog/review website with CRUD operations. Kind of like an IMDB for video games! I’m also beginning development on a long-term video game project in Unity that I’m very excited about.
